2016: MAY try to base songs on stuff already written, which would be a firs (usually try to write everything and record it during the challenge; always fail!) But it's so much fun for me to do the creating; a chore to perfect and finalize. We'll see…..
2015: Signed up, planning to start the third week, maybe get the required ten songs again this year? I would so miss skipping it entirely though. xoxox all!
2014: I may be able to give it a week, at the end of Feb. 10 songs in a week, surely it will be doable? Ha ha.
2013: I really did a lot of work last year and had some creations that I really liked, but was not even close to submitting by the end of February. So this year I have a little more time, and we'll see what happens!
2012: Maybe I will get something done this year; my level of committment will be lower this year as I am launching a business, but maybe I will toss in a few tunes; it's always frustrating but fun. :)
2011: Came up with some good songs, submitted a disk, but never uploaded b/c was of course unhappy with the level of completion. Maybe I'll upload 'em at some point.
2010: Once again, the goal is to finish. And while last year's project was an attempt to show as much diversity as possible, in 2010 I will try to be more cohesive. Maybe more on the loud powerpop side, it's more me. Apologies to those of you who had to endure the unedited and incomplete ones from last year. I was going to pull the plug on them again and my long-suffering dearest said, just submit the damn things - what's the worst that could happen? Well you would have a bunch of unfinished poor quality songs out there for the internet to savage, I guess, that's about it... but all in all she was right and not a bad first step for a tortured frustrated would-be songwriter. This year, I'm going to have a goal of at least 5 completed all the way. lyrics and vocals polished, the works. Hmmmmmmm.
2009:Just under the wire, I have re-branded. Again. Last year I was Almost Always but you never heard me; I have submitted disks for the past two years as other names... but did not offer them up for play because I can't seem to REALLY finish ANYTHING. But the initial name (Also-Ran) had to change because I saw an actual touring guy from Florida has a backing band named that. So trash collection seems appropriate for Almost Always completing, and since it may become collaborative in the future... anyway, came up with some fun imagery for it and for the disk, now back to work for the next coupla hours! This name is also appropriate because in addition to a bunch of 50 -80% done songs, they run the gamut in genres. Listen at your own risk, but hope you like something! Peace love and charity, etc... Thanks RPM guys for the fun.
Me, Mac, Mania, Mystery.
We were called "As-Is" one year, and "Also Ran" another year so those years don't show up; been participating since 2008.

- Description: Multiple Stories, Somewhat Intact - Album title to replace the would-be double albums The Power (rock oriented) and The Glory (more acoustic) which I may be able to complete more after all the dust settles. There are 88 (now 89 while reviewing) songs to be dealt with...none complete but all very fun to begin.
