Today, I helped my 8-year-old son start recording his first RPM song. He played the drums, then recorded bass, guitar, keys and handclaps. Turns out he knows how to say things backwards so well that if I record him and reverse the audio it sounds like it’s forwards, so after a little backwards craziness which might end up an interlude, we called it a day.
I then moved onto my own album. I recorded a cajon track, bass guitar, six acoustic guitar tracks, and a piano for a song that will eventually also have vocals, and (if all goes according to plan) a friend playing bouzouki and violin.
I’ve got bass blisters on one hand and my ears are tired. Think that’s it for today.
