It's ok, you created a great record. And, you are also compacting into a very finite period of time what it takes many folks years and years to discover. My head seems to run a dual test that you may like. 1. Do I like what I have done? 2. Does everyone else? Question 1 must always be a Yes, question 2 I hope for a yes, but as long as 1 was a yes I am ok. Cheers Brother, Gary

Year one: prove I could do it Year two: Throw everything and the kitchen sink in. Year three: Pare way back and enjoy it more. Year four: I might just pander and create an all-acoustic album I, too, have been playing with other instruments. I'm beginning to learn how to play my banjo, and you've already heard the influence of the cigar box guitar. Now I'm giving serious thought to buying a dobro. Oh - and my magic instrument is a $20 kids guitar that I can throw into the car. I've written a few songs on it, and I'm considering recording a set of acoustic tunes on it this summer just because I can.

Man, you're one year behind me on the evolution of my RPM projects... I went through the exact same progression: Year one: Just get it done Year two: Make a more "listenable" album Year three: F*ck that. Have fun. (Oh, and swear a lot) Year four: ??? I'll let you know what I come up with as I approach this year's RPM so you can know in advance what your mental state will be for the year after.
