Starting February, "...10 songs or 35 minutes of original material recorded during the month of February."
Our music centers around the hard rock genre with various other influences orbiting around it. We're some combination of Tool, Deftones, Opeth, Mastodon, Michael Hedges, Joe Satriani and Primus. What we come up with for the RPM Challenge may be something completely different...in fact, I hope it is.
We hope that the music we write during this time will be better than we're expecting. Perhaps it will show us that we're spending too much time on a particular project. I know that I tend to overanalyze my songs and end up spending up to six months arranging and recording a song. If we can pull off a whole album in one months time, that should be a wake up call to stop this 'paralysis by analysis' cycle we find ourselves in.
We'll be posting our songs for the RPM Challenge as they finish.
I've uploaded my RPM'11 ambient album "Circumstellar Orbit" on ReverbNation.
Sadly, due to the free account's limits on that site (max. 8Mb mp3s... not the best option for storage of long mp3s with good bitrates), I decided to deactivate the download link in all my tracks on ReverbNation.
Anyway, if you want download the full album (256kbs) you also can find it on soundcloud.
