This is a populist record, and it's also about geography, relocation, and the dislocation I feel in a country where I've been for six decades. It's a DIY/Lo-fi record that hearkens back to the halcyon days of early to mid-90s indie rock.
When I realized that not only was I going to hit my target of a 5-song EP, but that I actually had an LP in me. I've recorded 18 songs in the last two years. I hope to make RPM an annual thing.
While my style is definitely lo-fi, I felt like my recording process was much smoother than my prior record (I just missed RPM last year). I also am a better guitar player than I ever thought I'd be.
