About

I guess you could say Grave New World is a concept album. The subject matter is mostly very contemporary and apropos of the current moment, as our world has become very Grave indeed. Even so, the album is also at times very personal, and is in part intended for my loved ones as well as myself. Succinctly, it's about: Hope, the casting off of illusions and inaction, finding a way out of harmful & repetitive modes of thought and being, and letting love and compassion become driving forces in our actions. More or less. x-D

Favourite Moment

On February 1st as I sat down trying to decide what to do, a brand new song just fell out almost fully realized - words, music, and all. I spent the first 4 or 5 days working on that one, and it ended up becoming a pretty important part of the overall message. I guess it's the distillation of a lot of thoughts that had been rolling around my head for a while with regards to the looming global climate catastrophe, and "Borrowed Time" seemed a pretty apt name and theme.

Advice

Do it! It's difficult, and compromises will certainly be made, but "Finished and Good Enough" are certainly better than "Unfinished in search of Perfection".
