Kevin Paddle Blues Band
The album is a 10 song studio recording completed s part of the RPM challenge. Completed in February many of the ideas for the album have been floating around for a while. It is the best that we could do at this point in time. Hope you all like it. Thanks for listening and thanks for the challenge.

the owl and the octopus
A collection of field recordings, small improvisations, and randomness.

First Born Sun
Ten songs covering an existential mid-life crisis and set to a country music theme.

AlienXXX
As usual, covers several and disjointed genres: Heavy Metal, Jazz, Electronica, Ambient... Very happy that this year it includes collabs with 3 other artists and my first attempt at integrating vocals into a track. As always, there were whole other worlds to explore... if we only had the time!...

Devin, the Flaming Chicken
NHL Hitz 2003 Concept Album. Beeps, Boops, and Loops from the Flaming Chicken Coop

Distinct Kicking Motion
I set out to make an instrumental EP but I wasn't sure where to go... but then I remembered I own an 8-string guitar.

Tim Carroll
Instrumental alternative rock song. First full recording I've made in years. Started with guitars trying to make something with a different feel and it evolved into something completely different.

JC
A flat-out anger & anxiety-fueled rocker. My response to the destruction of American Democracy and Government Institutions, by evil billionaire Oligarchs. Produced in JC Studios using: Ableton Live 12 Suite, AKAI MPK MKII Mini keyboard contoller, MacBook Pro M2 Max

ABSTRXN
Like our previous albums, this one tells a story. We'll leave it up to the listener to interpret. Enjoy! 100% of all sales/streaming/merch proceeds (for this and ALL ABSTRXN music) will be donated to Humane Indiana, Northwest Indiana's premiere animal rescue: www.humaneindiana.org

Allison Walsh
A 15 year old musican who submitted her first song to the RPM challenge two years ago. Missed the challenge last year so she committed to finishing and recording 2 songs this year. Very proud to have accomplished her goal this year!

Platzangst
I realized that some things I do could be called minimal, but I can't for the life of me define what "minimal" means in music these days. So I set out to make minimal, and I may have failed, or succeeded. Yes? or No?

frost finger
A stoner rock for fun collab from a few Portland buddies who otherwise do less heavy music-

Fynn Cunningham
This is my third submission to the RPM Challenge, this one's really just me experimenting more with songmaking. I don't really know what I'm doing, but I had a good time making it.
Jill Staveley
I managed to do it. Write and record a song this February. I had hoped to do more - but life is busy, and this song reflects that.
MechaniCrash
Ghostish is a work of compressed time, haunting melodies, funky bass, syncopated rhythms, and creative samples.
The Nathans
We made an intense track with loud, distorted riffs that represent insanity, with one song soft rock making it seem like everything is sad after the craziness that the artist has gone through. We, The Nathans, made this in music class, using instruments such as the electric guitar, bass and drums. We made this with the idea that the songs represent someone losing their mind, filled with regret in the song 'Downfall' and then becoming out of control in the final song.
McFadden
A long overdue reunion of the mighty McFadden (via file sharing over the internet)
Letter Seventeen
2024 was a year to forget, with family issues and multiple medical issues making music almost impossible. This represents a return to music. I needed it more than I thought I did.
Gliftor Draken
It was all made in Reaper with instrument VSTs. The only real instruments used were electric guitar on several tracks and modular synthesizer on "Off The Rails".
Cat Amongst The Pigeons
This EP was supposed to be a lot more electronic in focus but it ended up featuring a lot more guitar and other stringed instruments and thus it rapidly moved in a much more experimental direction than I had anticipated. It is better to ride the wave than waste time swimming against the tide so I rolled up my musical sleeves and followed my ever expanding instinct. The songs combine elements of blues, folks, funk and rock, along with ethnic instruments and beats, and, a good dose of electronic hardware and software instruments, including my first attempt at playing the theremin. And I learnt to play the ukulele, kalimba and a pretty decent blues harp along the way too. Am not quite sure what I have created but it really was a riot. Over the last month I have learnt new skills and have truly grown as a musician. For this alone, I will always be proud of this music I have created and I hope that others may also take some pleasure in listening to it.
CALM TOMBS
2 songs with a friend in a pop-up studio, and 2 songs recorded on tape at home.
and again...and again...and again...and again...and again...
this is 1 drum track given to several people to make their own song
One Eyed Bastard Frog
I made some songs that could be classified as bedroom pop with my computer and some other things. I think the tracks sound pretty good.
Black Auks
We jammed. We had fun. It was all virtual! We jam online weekly using Sonobus.
Yugo en Fuego
This time out, I wanted to dispense with melody and chords changes and play with more noise and textures, although I'm not sure the album ended up being as noisy as I had originally planned. This is just my second completed RPM Challenge, I'm now 2 for 4, and I'm happy to have completed the project.
Future Thread
I made this album when I was traveling a lot, giving me more inspiration from my long journeys. I found that I worked very hard on this album, and definitely say that It's my best yet, thanks to the help of my family and friends. Thank you.
Black Dragon Fighting Society
A house/garage track made in Feb. I was looking to make something danceable and vibey
Not Faith. Not Holly.
We have been playing music together for seventeen years, and finally decided it was time to give recording something a try! We wanted to do something acoustic that mirrored the vibe of us just jamming like we always have. We created an EP that speaks to the nostalgia we all feel for less complicated times, and longing for that feeling of being content again. Recorded with a laptop, usb microphone, $4 headphone and a duvet cover suspended from the ceiling.
Twillingreat
This was a collaborative from many people living in or near Twillingate. it was Recorded by Mike McDonald in a shed studio and was a ton of fun to make!
Gobtronic Noise Lab
Original intention was to complete a full album, but even as many songs were recorded, they were missing the mark except for this one. It was a cold, rainy day and it started with a field recording of that rain falling that inspired this. Not an original concept, but I wanted to capture the somber and otherwise quite time.
looprication
What: an album inspired by visiting Greece and a story I read about a burial ground in Peru. It's special because I stayed pretty true to the type of music I wanted to write. How: Some hardware, some software, one "live" modular synth jam but mostly Ableton / Reason.
Alexander Lane
Three songs for a live set at NYCR's Synth night meetup. Most of the songs are made on the Synthstrom Deluge, with some extra sounds from the 0-coast and OP-1.
Psych Major (KJ Johnson)
I made a sonic adventure in trauma processing? It's sad, but hopeful, I think.
Portending Honor
1 part rock, 1 part funk, and 1 part acoustic combine to form our 7th full album!
