Alternate Modes Of Underwater Consciousness (AMUC) | ..only words will remain. | https://alonetone.com/amuc/tracks/-only-words-will-remain- | I unintentionally created a followup track for something I published eleven years ago. I had left the original track open for a bookend to complement it, and the lyrics and melody just coincidentally lined up well with the original track. |
am/fm dreams | Mint | For 15 years I had the pleasure of owning the most beautiful creature to ever grace this planet. I lost her this month. I had given up on REM this month. Today, March 31, around 7 PM I sat down at the piano, placed my iPad on the top, pushed record and this came out. No planning, no writing, just wishing I would look down at the corner of the piano bench and see that furry little face staring up me. This recording is the result.
Andrea Samengo | Sooner or Later | http://www.samengomusic.uk/ | This is an Electric Guitar / Electronic composition |
Beyond the Oort Cloud | mARCH | https://alonetone.com/johna/tracks/march | Continuing the Story of From Beyond the Oort Cloud |
Big Rips | Planet of Dipshits | https://bigrips.bandcamp.com/track/planet-of-dipshits | This is a song that I wrote when I was mad that people kept trying to go in public places/near me without a mask on and the resulting cries about their freedom when they were told to GTFO. |
Blind Colours | For the Frozen | https://soundcloud.com/user-291449380/for-the-frozen | Dreaming of late fall in early spring |
Chalices | No Ambition | https://chalices.bandcamp.com/track/no-ambition | Perfectionism=procrastination, so I decided to just have fun instead of thinking too hard |
Chris Sexton | The Clash | https://soundcloud.com/chris-sexton-6 | The song started as a loop of a guitar lick which was left over from the RPM challenge. I built a song around the lick and and ended up making a bridge that I really love but which doesn't fit in perfectly hence the clash = ) |
clyne | Groovin' | https://soundcloud.com/enylc/groovin | Made a short little groove, trying to improve my sound and structure. Made with LMMS. |
Dandy From Home | Pollen | https://soundcloud.com/dandyfromhome/pollen | Remade a song of mine yes this probably breaks a rule but oh well it sounds very different |
David Cooper Orton | Tone Poem One (edit) | Livelooping piece gradually evolving through time - guitar and ebow

Helen Sventitsky | Capitalism and Greed | https://soundcloud.com/bigstarlet/capitalism-and-greed | This song is not finished (it needs a bridge and the mix leaves a bit to be desired),but I was able to get something in for this challenge under the wire! |
Indoor Voices | Skater Squirrel Sue | https://alonetone.com/indoorvoices/tracks/skater-squirrel-sue | Punk Rock for Kids! Our drummer is a Gameboy! |

Jeff Burchett | Chasing Ghosts (A Fragment) | https://jeffmakesnoise.bandcamp.com/album/chasing-ghosts-a-fragment | I think all art is an attempt to manifest the intangible that resides inside us in a way that allows someone perceiving it to take it in and share that same experience. But, of course, the representation always falls short of the reality, and in the end, the intangible we work to conjure is not able to fully transcend the personal color we all add to the experiences we have. Much of my music is my own attempt to call up the experiences of my youth: bittersweet moments of fleeting, fading feelings. I am five years old, sitting on a woven, plastic deck chair beside the Elks Club pool in Roanoke, VA, a red Popsicle in hand, melting faster than I can eat it, its sugary liquid making my fingers sticky. I'm waiting for the lifeguard to blow the whistle to signal rest period is over and let us back in the pool. The sunlight is hot on my cheeks and my hair is crusty and straw-like from too much chlorine. Kindergarten begins in under a month, and while our parents chat idly nearby, my friends and I laugh and play, our imaginations unable even to fathom the idea of what going to school means. In the distance, over the PA system, music plays, a melody barely perceived, only half-noticed, lodges in my mind. I finish my Popsicle, turn into the sun and feel the late summer Virginia heat all the way deep down in my bones. Synthesizers and drums on the speaker give way to the lifeguard's pea-whistle. Rest period is over, and we are at once cannonballs into water that seems never to warm. We gasp as our skin breaks the icy surface. Minutes? Hours? Time dilates and wobbles between the reality of the day and the fantasy of our childhood minds. Later, amidst a pink-orange sunset, my father carries me to the car since I don't want to put my shoes back on because the socks feel funny and cling to my toes pruned up by the water. We drive home with the windows down, the warm summer air swirling through the car, whipping my hair. The radio plays, and I hold my favorite stuffed animal, Mutt, close and fiddle at his left ear with the fingers of my right hand. We are all just chasing ghosts. |
Joel Glenn Wixson | Standing at the Station | It's a song about growing up, and hard times. It's a road song.
justjoyfading | krush(fka as jelalousy)(grime edit) | https://justjoyfading.bandcamp.com/track/krush-fka-as-jelalousy-grime-edit | um shoegaze meets grime meets electroic, very glitch orientented |

LegitName Studios | Quarantine Time Machine | https://legitnamestudios.bandcamp.com/track/quarantine-time-machine | I wrote this song about the ongoing COVID pandemic. It will continue to drag on until we each make the choice to stay safe and healthy. This isn't about politics, this is about helping each other to stay safe and healthy. Cooperation and support will get us through this. |
Luna Ponderosa | 'Snoflake | https://siralfrediv.bandcamp.com/track/snoflake
Magic Bullet | Criminal Duplet (And The Promise They Couldn't Keep) | https://alonetone.com/magicbullet/tracks/criminal-duplet-(and-the-promise-they-couldn't-keep) | Well, we blame that Elling Lien. You see, we recorded this track “R.F.A.” for the February RPM Challenge, and we were quite satisfied with the psychological and auditory damage we had caused with that one. But then they say; “Hey, why not record something EVERY month for us? For a YEAR!” Skit and I looked at eachother, ummed and ahhed over coffee and biscotti, decided it was a noble and worthy concept, thus we he had a moral obligation to support it! So, I put a message on the RPM Facebook page; “For the ‘every month’ one (yeah, let’s do it!),what are the requirements for track lengths etc? Ta. #InEllingWeTrust!” No length limit, he tells us. So we thanked him and added; “No 35 minute ear-bleeders for this one though, promise!” And he says; “Don’t make promises you can’t keep!” You can see where this is going, can’t you? ;-> |
Marilyn | Grandpa's Old House | https://alonetone.com/marilyn/tracks/recording-20210309-105933
Psychic Sperm | Dye Adds | https://alonetone.com/psychicsperm/tracks/dye-adds | A stylistic tribute to Metallica: Some stylistic things borrowed from AJFA, hat tip to the golden progression (Unforgiven, Fade to Black) with reference to James’ fondness of harmony guitar. |
Rob Parker | Who Gets a Say | https://alonetone.com/robertjames1971/tracks/who-gets-a-say
Salman Ahad | Wandervish | https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ic2xRrawDr-cfaun2CBX-0Ws84Pjwa1y/view | This was some practice in changing keys mid-song that eventually blossomed into a dervishi synth meditation! |
Savory Flakes | Iridium Power | Bend but don't break
Spectacular Panda | The Ghost of Vincent Chin | https://soundcloud.com/spectacularpanda/the-ghost-of-vincent-chin/s-l4kkTwdDunm | Buku Panda wrote the rhymes, Fancy Spectacles produced the track. Special thanks to Track Club. #stopasianhate |
Syrel | The Hammer and the Saw
The Checkers Speech | Star Dot Star | https://soundcloud.com/checkersspeech/star-dot-star | If I wanted to explain it, I wouldn't have needed to record the song. |
The Maadmen | Jack Be Nimble | https://themaadmen.bandcamp.com/track/jack-be-nimble | We always wanted to give Mother Goose a good drubbing, so we lubed up and started with a classic. The drummer (Reverend) and I (bassist) got together, recorded the rhythm tracks and vocals, then sent it off to our guitarist (DJ Robzilla),and the goose got cooked. |
Twilight Sleep | Horizon's Blade (excerpt) | https://twilightsleepstream.bandcamp.com (this is profile, direct link will not be available until tomorrow) | This is a streamed and recorded performance of ambient music to fall asleep to, using a few fm synthesizers, effect pedals, mixing boards, and care. |
Vlad Yanhursky | Lay Down | This song's about how my girlfriend and I used to sleep in really late when we were younger. Recorded on Garageband on my iPad. Ended up having much more of a late 90's rock vibe than intended; I think I'll try something different next month!
Walter Noons | A Dream About An Ancient Time | https://www.reverbnation.com/walternoons | A, Irish folk song with really simple instrumentation and production |
WXO | Rocky Beach Ballad | https://soundcloud.com/wxo/rocky-beach-ballad | An electroacoustic hyrbid of melodic and ambient music. There's a vague celtic flavor to the melody and I try to evoke a peaceful "progressive rock" atmosphere. I used keyboards and live flute. |
KR Seward | Sew Sed | Bits of computer read verse messed with in VCV Rack plus Hexaglyphics, RISCy and MobMuPlat running of padlike gizmo. |
