I have always been frustrated and thrilled by RPM because I can't complete anything for the new creative directions in music I wander off into as I am trying to complete even a single song. Again this year no songs are done and I have good progress on about 50 songs I really like, in 6 various protools mother files with different tempos and tonalities. This surf collection is all from one of the six, all I had time to urgently try to make sense of - except the tenth, which I opened another file to try to make some bounces and immediately played this simple riff. I was talking with a few friends recently about a very charismatic crazy guy we knew who had died too young, and that song's for him, it's uncanny that in separate conversations he spontaneously came up this month. Anyway, I hoped to have about 20 tracks on two albums, one surf and the other exotica and I know if there was repeated extensions I could pull off some really interesting depth but I only work on deadlines and always blow them so... prob this is what I will be ending up with, a shoddy "album" of only a few hacked ideas! But - I DO TOTALLY LOVE IT. Thanks...
Favourite Moment
I had one full day to work on it (among other piecemeal time spent on it), that one day was awesome.
Advice
I can't play fast surf-like up and down stroke picking. Oh well!
