ABSTRXN
100% of all sales/streaming/merch proceeds will be donated to Brave Space Alliance, a black-led, trans-led LGBTQ+ center on the south side of Chicago: bravespacealliance.org This album is a short exploration into deep space: The traveller, now in physical form drifts endlessly alone through the deepest reaches of the known universe. Could there be another like them?

Behind T!me
These songs were recorded, mixed and mastered without a computer to analog tape! I work on a computer all day and it is a different experience making music in a primitive/old school way (I like the sound too). This format is very limiting though as you can't make edits easily and there were only 8 tracks of recorded audio I had to work with. This forced me to really learn guitar parts and do things like playing 2 keyboards at the same time to record them to a single track (and I'm not very good at keys to begin with lol). If I had more time, there are a bunch of things I would change about these songs, but I was happy that this project forced me to actually prioritize music and finish things while still juggling my busy life. Anyway, this was my first RPM and I really learned a lot. This has motivated me to make more songs and continue improving!

Bill De Martino
I was helping a friend with a couple of his entries and I had an idea for a tune. I really rushed it but it was great fun to make something silly.

Town Counsel
A musical game of telephone where a song was passed from one person to the next without any prior discussion of the concept.

Werewolf District
This is a collection of weird dance pop and weird electronic tunes that forced their way out of my brain and into my computer. I think there are some really rad things in these songs. To create the record I made beats and arrangements in FL Studio, then used synths and guitars to round it out. My bandmate Ben played on a few of the tracks as well.

Golly
We are a duo. 10 songs. We wrote 5 songs each. I'm east coast, he's west. Spacebar rock.

Bukupanda
First instrumental submission. Originally did vocals too but worked better without the ones I did and couldn’t do anymore takes for

Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena
It's not supernatural...it's natural. It's not paranormal...it's NORMAL. Featuring guest appearances by Rod Serling, Leonard Nimoy and Carl Sagan Featuring Barney and Betty Hill, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker, and Orson Welles

Amelia Wilcox
This EP ended up being mostly meditations on daily life and learning to embrace uncertainty or fear with more grace over time growing in small increments. I had lots of ups and downs with the project!!
plain view
A collaborative remote project - The debut single from plain view - resulting in a haunting heavy mysterious soundscape. This is our first foray into this type of "darker" electronic music and we are stoked to keep making more music like this in the future.
Centrale Electrique
It's instrumental, sort of rock, slightly synthy, slightly proggy, sort of soundtracky. Slogged through despite typical setbacks, and completed just under the wire.
Tapes In Motion
Back in 2018, my friend and I decided to start a band after hearing about the RPM challenge. While we didn't complete a full-length project, we still became enamoured with process of writing and recording songs that we pushed forward and continued making music. Six years later, we have successfully completed the RPM challenge.
Kristy Hanson
Be Good is an EP of home-recorded demos all written and recorded in the month of February 2024 in completion of the RPM Challenge. The indie rock songs are woven together by themes of self-expression, trauma recovery and love of self. Music and lyrics, guitars, keyboards, percussion and (some) bass all by Kristy Hanson with bass and percussion also by Mike Chiaburu who also assisted with engineering/mixing and mastered the collection.
Cat Amongst The Pigeons
This year I just tried to enjoy myself. I came up with some completely new tunes but having re-read the RPM rules and learnt that it is permissible to 'complete work you started before February', I decided it would give me an excuse to raid all those unfinished projects with catchy hooks that never quite went anywhere. The result is that 5 of my songs come in at under three and a half minutes, hence my EP is a bit more poppy than usual.
Paste The Sky
It's an exercise in songwriting. Something I'm always working on. There's a bit of homespun production but I mostly stripped it back. Some songwriting influences who shine through on this one are Andrew Fagan, Martin Newell and Patti Smith.

In this month, I decided to use RPM as a springboard to record ideas - not complete or listenable works - to jumpstart production of "Frog Salad!", with the final production deadline being 30 September 2024, in time for Zinefest 2024. After that it'll be available on Bandcamp. Frankly, after my abortive attempts to make electronic dance, and my current complete lack of inspiration to continue the invisibl nudist project (at the moment), "Frog Salad!" seems closer to my real musical talent. I'm rather pleased to have got so close to 10 ideas recorded in this time, fighting stress, migraines, the demands of work etc. All with the assistance of cheap guitar, ukelele, mellotron sample banks, and expensive Ableton DAW. Inspiration came from early 90s Chris Knox/Tall Dwarfs, Wendyhouse, and James Kochalka. While "What's Inside..." is probably the most popular, "Lubberland" is closest to my intended sound. Oh well. At least I know what I'll be doing over the next seven months: polishing these turds.
The Spinal Chord Stim Lab
Sample based Electronic Experimental music created by a collaboration of musicians across the US.
Apraxia
We have a full album, but not everything is finished. This was one rockin' track ready to go, enjoy!
John Vogel
I just wanted to make a record with no concept behind it. Just music (and some spoken audio).
Will Bird
It is a record about coming to terms with and growing out of somewhere I lived and some people I knew. Also some good ol' love songs. Recorded at my brothers with his help which made it unique to prior years. Bare bones, trying to capture a semi-live feel.
Max Grazier
I make records for a living which makes a challenge such as this fun when I attempt to go all out in a short period of time. I haven't written solo music in a year, and this record is what came from a year of not writing. I'm super proud of how it came out, and can't wait for you to hear it.
Saria Foxx
Singing is how I best communicate what is in my heart💜 I wrote this song inspired by my on-going journey to discover, explore and learn all that my heart passionately desires. To share life with fellow vibrate beings that I love❤️
squelch
This is an album about being abducted by aliens and being cloned, then imprisoned with your clones
Ouroboros
Another semi-unlooked for concept album this year, I guess. Historical and literary references abound. Fans of Arthurian legend and J.R.R. Tolkien will likely find things to enjoy.
Mieremet
I started this cleannoise act 3 years ago, because I hated the aesthetics of gorenoise, provoking to rpovoke, so I counter with cleannoise and now every february I make a new album
MechaniCrash
External pressures forced this record to be completed in only 14 days. The time pressures helped yield a more inspired result. It’s a satisfying mixture of funk, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop and soundtrack music. I’m proud of the result.
Alias (ten years later)
This is a random collection of songs that were inspired by this cold, short month of February. I recorded it on my iPhone so the quality isn’t great, and I recorded each song in one take. Maybe I will record some of these properly in the future!
oddSTAR
This release was arranged directly from several spontaneous solo live looping sessions from my 'This Twilight Garden' Endlesss jam. I have dedicated these songs to my beautiful mother, Linda Margaret Fitzgerald Davis, whose spirit left this world on the morning of October 6, 2022 after a nearly 3-month battle with brain cancer (GBM). During that time I spent many hours by her bedside, speaking to her, sometimes reading her a book (mostly The Hobbit), and then making music when words ultimately failed. Creating this music offered me solace and served as an avenue to express the various emotions I experienced along the way. Although I shared some of it with her as she slept, she never got to hear these songs in their current form but I like to think that she still might if I play them loud enough...
Michelle Monette
I decided to use this time to write four songs out of what will eventually be a full album of twelve songs. I'm going to split it up over three RPM Challenges, this being part 1. The songs were inspired by prompts from the book The Daily Stoic Meditations by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.
Oddball
An experimental funk-based arrangement with featured artist collaboration, recorded and produced through BandLab
DAVI BARDO
A little bit inspired by Angels & Airwaves, but I forgot that I still don't know how to sing XD
Marcella DeVelis
some stuff i hate. pushed it out. it exists. trans rights- uh yeah. back rooms idk.
