About

Be Good is an EP of home-recorded demos all written and recorded in the month of February 2024 in completion of the RPM Challenge. The indie rock songs are woven together by themes of self-expression, trauma recovery and love of self. Music and lyrics, guitars, keyboards, percussion and (some) bass all by Kristy Hanson with bass and percussion also by Mike Chiaburu who also assisted with engineering/mixing and mastered the collection.

Favourite Moment

This was a return to songwriting for me after too long an absence. The entire process felt like meeting a version of myself I had truly missed. And the music helped me let go of a lot of pain I had been holding onto. I feel lighter now. I'm so grateful for this project!

Advice

I definitely learned and re-learned a lot about recording itself - just the need to be attentive to detail. And also I realized how self-sufficient I could be in at least creating some feels and moods for my songs that made me happy.
