This Twilight Garden: Live Looping Sessions Volume 2

Album
Listen

About

This release was arranged directly from several spontaneous solo live looping sessions from my 'This Twilight Garden' Endlesss jam. I have dedicated these songs to my beautiful mother, Linda Margaret Fitzgerald Davis, whose spirit left this world on the morning of October 6, 2022 after a nearly 3-month battle with brain cancer (GBM). During that time I spent many hours by her bedside, speaking to her, sometimes reading her a book (mostly The Hobbit), and then making music when words ultimately failed. Creating this music offered me solace and served as an avenue to express the various emotions I experienced along the way. Although I shared some of it with her as she slept, she never got to hear these songs in their current form but I like to think that she still might if I play them loud enough...

Favourite Moment

It was a bittersweet venture as these sounds take me back to a difficult time, but it means the world to me to finally offer them in a form that I am proud to share. I think everything turned out beautifully and really tells our story without the need for words.

Advice

It's important to make time to tell your stories and share what you create. On a more mundane level, I hopefully managed to create long form tracks that are engaging and interesting while listening (as my 7 min track is but an excerpt of the entire session).
