About

I created this record for myself, mainly as a challenge. I wanted to take five tracks that I wrote, and try to produce them all the way through, and see what happened. Each song covers a different style - some carry influences from classical music, and others have aspects of funk and alternative. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, with all the challenges that came along with it. I am also proud to say that I did complete the five tracks that I intended to! If I had all the time in the world, there would certainly be things that I would clean up in some of the songs. But that is what I loved most about this challenge. Just producing tracks in a short period of time, and seeing what comes out the other end. I hope you enjoy them!

Favourite Moment

My favourite RPM moment was certainly recording the instrumentals. It allowed me to get creative, and to hear each song come to life in that moment. I can still remember laying down the bass for my track called "The System." It was such a cool moment, because it really took the groove to another level, and brought it to a place that I didn't even imagine!

Advice

My advice is to just keep producing your record, no matter how tough it gets. There were moments in my process where I didn't enjoy what I was creating, and it didn't pan out the way that I hoped. But I kept trusting the process, and eventually the songs turned a corner. The key is that it is a process, you are not going to create the tracks overnight. But as long as you keep going back to it, make small adjustments, and see the whole thing through, you'll surprise yourself!:)
